The Deaflympics are held every four years, and are the longest running multi-sport event excluding the Olympics themselves. The USADS is following closely and constantly requesting updates regarding to the host city but what we know so far as our swimmers continue training (we appreciate your patience):
- Per announcement of 2017 Deaflympics, USA Deaf Swimming plans to invite only the top swimmers to compete in the 23rd Summer Deaflympic games. The organization plans to send enough swimmers to suffice relays.
- We will inform our members any important updates regarding to Deaflympics. In this case, please be sure you or your swimmer is a member of USA Deaf Swimming to ensure you will recieve these important updates. (http://deafswim.org/membership/)
- Be sure you or your swimmer has submitted a valid audiogram required to compete at any event with the USA Deaf Swimming team. (https://www.usdeafsports.org/wp-content/files/ICSD_audiogramregulationsv4-07.03..pdf)
